About Me
I am a long distance backpacker. I completed the AT in 1998 after a 10 year section hike. I completed the PCT in 1998 after through hiking in 1997 all but the last 500 miles. I am currently working on the CDT, having completed Colorado and Wyoming.

Herman Lake
Take exit 218 off I-70. At the stop sign turn right to the TH parking area. This trail takes you through the subalpine forest through subalpine meadows and up to the tundra. You can continue to hike N on the CDT to Canada or S. It’s a great trail close to Denver and awesome views within a short time of your hike. A dangerous trail in winter, subject to avalanches. Lots of dogs on the trail as well but still a great hike.
