About Me

I’m the Vice President of Products, Marketing, and Operations for National Geographic Maps in Evergreen Colorado. I’ve been with National Geographic for 24 years, involved in many different facets of cartography.

When not working, I enjoy fly fishing, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, and reading about Spanish history and culture.

Over the last 5 years, I’ve gotten into saltwater fishing in Central America. It’s a huge contrast to the trout fishing in Colorado and a great opportunity to enjoy some warm weather in the heart of a Rocky Mountain winter. My favorite destinations are Belize, Costa Rica, and Panama.

The general area in which I live is a world-class mountain biking destination. Within a 30 minute driving radius, we have some truly great mountain bike trails including Alderfer 3 Sisters, Lair O’ the Bear, Bergen Peak, Centennial Cone, Buffalo Creek, and many more….....

My Favorite Place

Headwaters of the South Fork of Clear Creek in San Isabel NF

Great spot to camp, hike, and fish for high country brookies. Lot’s of beaver dams. It’s an easy scramble to the top of a fourteener, Huron Peak. Higher up the valley, there are a few glacial lakes with large cutthroats prowling the waters. Very tough to catch!
