The rugged peaks of the Teton Range tower over sagebrush flats, forested buttes, and silvery aspen groves. The Snake River meanders through the valley of Jackson Hole. Sapphire blue lakes dot the foot of the mountains, replenished by spring snowmelt and summer rains cascading down glacier carved canyons. Today, more than 230 miles of trails beckon hikers. Challenging peaks make for superb mountain climbing. Elk, moose, pronghorn, and other animals captivate wildlife watchers and photographers. The elusive Snake River cutthroat lures anglers.
