If you are a Geocacher this is the evnt for you. GeoWoodstock is an annual gathering for geocachers from all over the world. It is scheduled to be held in Wheatland, CA (just outside Sacramento) on May 24th.

NatGeo Maps will have a booth, so stop by for a demo of the new TOPO! Explorer or current TOPO! software, if you decide to attend.

Check out this website for more information http://www.geowoodstockvi.com/

See you there,
Jeff

Hey Jeff,

I’ll be going to the west coast to attend GW, and I’ll be sure to look up your booth at the Event. I assume that NG is paying for your trip and that you’ll have to “work” the Event… but are you planning on doing any geocache hunts when you have free time? I’m gonna be there hunting caches for the week after GW; let me know if you want to team up to find some!

Hey GL,

I look forward to meeting you at GW. Yes, NG is paying for my trip and yes I will be “working” the booth. I am not sure I will have time to do any Geocaching during this trip. I am currently up in the Tahoe area doing dealer visits.

Thanks for the offer. See ya soon.

I spent the day at GeoWoodstock. Despite a rainy and cooler than normal day for Northern CA, the turnout was fantastic. We had alot of geocachers stop by with questions about TOPO!. Lots of interest in the new TEX software and suggestions about how we can improve TOPO! & TEX.

All around a good day outside. Looking forward to GeoWoodstock VII next year in TN.

Hi Jeff,

Nice to see you at GW6 and learn about the new products. Going to be at my local REI on Friday!

Caching was great on a 4×4 run on Sunday. I hadn’t planned on going and wasn’t well prepared map wise. Sure could have used some TOPO! printouts on the trails! Saw a lot of old mining (and some current) claims in the Tyler-Foote area. Great time at the event and caching the next two days.
