There are two long trails in Connecticut. The first is the famous Appalachian Trail which runs through the northwest corner of the state. The other, the New England National Scenic Trail, is almost completely unknown. It was just created by an act of congress on January 29, 2008. In Connecticut, it includes the Mattabesett and Metacomet Trails. For more information and for valuable trail-side camping, go to www.ctxguide.com. These trails will also be posted soon right here at Topo! |
Whether you are planning a thru-hike or weekend trip, this forum is dedicated to sharing information about our country’s National Scenic Trails .
