Looking for a place to wheel in Washington state??? We have the answer!!! The Washington Off-Highway Vehicle Alliance (http://www.wohva.org) is creating a web page listing all the off-highway areas and trails in the state of Washington. Currently we are building the catalog for 4×4s, ATV, and motorcycles. Check it out here: http://www.xmxpro.com/Catalog/catalog.htm Paul |

Paul, It would be great if WOHVA would use TOPO! Explorer or TOPO! state series software to create these trail maps and then post them to the topo.com website. |

We don’t want to be tied to a specific program. We want it to be usable with just about any software out there (yes, there are ways to accomplish this!). Currently the listing is table-based. We are right now working on collecting the basic information on all the areas, both government and private locations. It is our intention to provide the basic information for each location and if there is a website or web page describing that location, and it’s up-to-date, we will link to that website or web page. If none exists, we will create on and make it available. Check the listing for the Twin Sisters trail in the Colville National Forest. Click on the WOHVA web page link and you’ll see what we intend to provide for trails. The Riverside State Park ORV area shows what we intend to provide for off-highway areas. Remeber, this is a work in progress and currently I am one the only one working on it (WOHVA is a volunteer state-wide organization!). If you are located in WA state and have some suggestions, you can e-mail me through the link at the top of the table page. Eventually we will have a page wherein you can add or recommend changes to the data. Thanks for your interest, Paul |
